During the break of her Lokomoko U taping at the TV5 Novaliches studio A yesterday, Alex Gonzaga talked to some members of the press for a short informal interview. Obviously one of the busiest TV5 stars, with 5 shows to boot, Alex is called the princess of the Kapatid Network - a title she timidly denies or dismissses. Alex says she's just happy that she has several projects to keep her busy and that she enjoys what she's doing. She also appreciates the fact that her programs are different from one another and they allow her to explore her versatility as an artist.
When asked if she's earning as much as her older sister Toni, who is also one busy bee over at the Kapamilya Network, Alex doesn't answer directly but expresses that she and her sister are now earning enough to invest together. In fact, the two Gonzaga sisters have already bought a lot, the location of which Alex refuses to divulge.
Alex is obviously getting comfortable with her BFGF co-star and leading man, Kean Cipriano of Callalily. On-screen they exude the right chemistry that make viewers and fans swoon to their "kilig" BFGF love story. Offcam, they treat each other pretty much the same way they do in their BFGF scenes. They easily tease each other and are even "sweet" at times. Alex is also very supportive of Kean especially when it comes to his band performances and other gigs.
Last Saturday, after their BFGF taping, Kean invited Alex to watch Vice Ganda's concert at the Araneta Coliseum, where Callalily performed. Afterwards, Alex and Kean were joined by another BFGF co-star Diane Medina, BFGF director Bb. Joyce Bernal, and some BFGF production staff at Club Dredd, where Callalily had a gig.
It is known that Alex is not yet allowed to have a boyfriend because her mother, who also stands as her and sister Toni's manager, is very vocal about dissuading her from getting into any romantic relationship at the moment. Alex admits that her mother did tell her that she has only known and has worked with Kean for a little over a month and that it's too short a time for the two of them to be more than friends.
"I don't think naman that I'm falling for Kean. As my mother said, it's too early for us to feel anything special towards each other. Kean is really easy to get along with and we really jive. He's become a good friend in the short time I've known him and worked with him. Sweet sya at gentleman talaga. Nagulat nga ako kasi I didn't expect him to be like that, kasi nga ang pagkakaalam ko sa mga rockstar loner, may pagka-mysterious effect at may sariling mundo. Pero si Kean, he's all-out friendly talaga. Magaan sya kasama at madali talaga siya makasundo. Magka-wavelength kami kasi pareho kaming makulit," Alex shares.
