Despite the pandemic situation that forced the Work-from-Home setup for most companies worldwide, leading analytics software firm SAS was able to sustain its high standard of excellence in supporting its employees' well-being, albeit in a virtual setting.
This commitment of SAS to its employees' welfare has not gone unnoticed as the company received noteworthy HR citations for 2020. SAS in Singapore won HR Asia's Best Companies to Work for in 2020 Award (Singapore Edition) while both SAS in Singapore and Philippines were also certified by Great Place to Work as a great workplace for 2020.
This is the third consecutive year that SAS has won HR Asia's Best Companies to Work for in Asia award. SAS also bagged the distinguished HR Asia's Most Caring Companies Award for 2020.
“While we have
shifted to a Work-from-Home mode during the pandemic, we continue to
support our employees with the same standard of excellence such as
providing virtual
well-being resources ranging from work-life tips to social channels for
bonding. And throughout this period, we continued to ensure our
employees’ mental and physical health through our Employee Assistance
Program (EAP). We are committed to foster a family-friendly
and creative environment where employees are encouraged to reinvent
with new ideas and be innovative,” shared Remco den Heijer, Vice President for ASEAN at SAS.
HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards recognizes companies
that have shown world-class employee engagement and workplace
excellence while displaying demonstrable empathy and care for their
employees. The awards is Asia’s largest, covering over
300,000 employees across 11 markets. Employees rate their employers
using the proprietary Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) survey,
which covers collective consciousness, workplace sentiment, and team
dynamics.
In its recognition by Great Place to Work, SAS in Singapore and
Philippines
has been certified as a great workplace for 2020,
with respectively 79% and 76% of employees rating it as a great place
to work. Great Place to Work results are based on rigorous Trust
Index Survey and Culture Management platform.
“Winning both the awards and certifications are a testament to our efforts at SAS to create a culture of innovation, creativity and inclusivity," den Heijer said. "Our holistic approach towards employees is supported by our comprehensive talent management strategy and our Total Rewards programme that aims to create a work environment that inspires and energizes our employees.
“We believe that a positive work environment driven by a supportive leadership is key to motivating our employees. Through encouraging teamwork and innovation, empowering our employees as well as recognising and rewarding performance, we strive to create an environment and culture that inspires and engages our people," he added.
