There's more reason to stay home on weekends as Cignal TV and Regal Entertainment recently unveiled a delightful lineup of well-loved and critically-acclaimed films to watch through Cignal's One Screen Channel on all weekends of March up to December.
Kicking off the weekend special film screenings this March 6 is the multi-awarded Tokyo Film Festival and Metro Manila Film Festival entry Die Beautiful, which stars Paolo Ballesteros as a transgender woman who dies during a beauty pageant yet spreads beauty and love even in death.
Featured on March 7 is the Janella Salvador and Jameson Blake starrer So Connected, a film about a struggling waitress who buys a stolen phone whose owner still has access to the device.
Other Award-winning Regal Entertainment films to catch on One Screen Channel are Elise, Blue Moon, Signal Rock, and many more.
According to Sienna G. Olaso, Cignal TV FVP and Head of Channels & Content Management, Cignal's long-term relationship with Regal Entertainment is hinged on providing entertainment and highlighting the significant ideas and themes that the channel airs. "We are excited to use the One Screen platform in bringing these masterpieces closer to the audiences by presenting a thematic block of films that is unique for every month," Olaso shared.
Regal Entertainment's COO and Vice President Marie Roselle Y. Monteverde explained that making viewers aware of what's happening in their community is best delivered through films. "It is imperative that we continue to materialize our big idea for the project 'Tatak Regal, Tiyak Na De-Kalidad' by providing Filipinos with high-brow and quality content that will enrich and widen their perspective on key matters in the country while at the same time letting them enjoy the experience."
The Regal Originals movies will be showing at 8:00 p.m. on weekends starting this March 6 on One Screen Channel, available on Cignal (CH. 9) and SatLite (CH. 35). Viewers may access the channel via the Cignal Play App, available on Android and iOS.
