At Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, you can eat crabs with your bare hands! |
Dining out in a mall
restaurant and getting messy while eating with your bare hands are two
different foodie experiences that don't
usually go together, but the newly opened Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps
in SM The Block (North EDSA) has been attracting hordes of diners who are only
too eager to enjoy a sumptuous meal of freshly cooked and uniquely spiced
seafood dishes the best way they can -- with their bare hands.
For one, it does
bring a "finger-licking good" meal to a whole new level. It is a
completely new gastronomic adventure, and it's little wonder why the restaurant
is always teeming with diners, with a long wait list to boot, especially on
weekends.
At Blue Posts
Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, customers can choose from a wide selection of
seafood dishes, which are served in a food-grade boiling bag mixed with the
signature Blue Posts Cajun Special Sauce, along with corn cobs and other extras
such as sausages and boiled potatoes.
Diners also have the
option to order their food regular, mild, or spicy hot. Eating with one's bare
hands is the norm inside the restaurant. As diners get their Blue Posts bibs
and plastic gloves (allowing those who don't want to get their hands dirty to
still eat with their hands), they prepare to dig in, get messy, and savor every
handful of mouthwatering seafood goodness in their meal.
Now famous for its
unconventional and informal dining style, Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps
started in Davao City, with its first branch along J. P. Laurel Avenue (between
Davao Water District and SM Lanang Premiere) opening on December 8, 2013. Owing
to the success of its first branch, Blue Posts Crabs and Shrimps soon launched
its second branch in Lanang Business Park by June 28, 2014.
Now that this
gastronomic attraction from Davao is in Manila, word quickly gets around and
this is why diners are flocking to SM The Block in North EDSA to that lone Blue
Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps branch at the 4th level. Never before has eating messy
been this exciting, delightful, and communally acceptable in a restaurant
setting. At Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, eating messy is eating in
style and loving it.
