Filipino Short Films Bag International Viddsee Juree Awards

Josel Fajardo wins the Viddsee Juree top prize for ''Caterwaul"
The Viddsee Juree Awards for the Philippines culminated in the much-awaited announcement of the three Filipino short films bagging the Gold, Silver, and Special Mention awards in the festival closing ceremony held recently at the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Cinemateque Manila.

The eye-opening drama "Caterwaul" by Josel Fajardo was declared the Gold winner while Christian Lat's thriller drama "Redlights" was given the Silver award and Glen Barit's "Maybe Aliens" received Special Mention.

The three winning entries were chosen from the top 10 final films selected by a panel of international  judges: Loïc Valceschini, festival programmer of Neuchâtel Int' Fantastic Film Fest & Locarno's Semaine de la Critique; Marcus Manh, Vietnamese film producer & founder of YxineFF; and Antoinette Jadaone, Filipino film director.

As the grand winner, Fajardo won a Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K Digital Cinema Camera EF worth US$4,995 and a five-day film immersion course in Los Angeles sponsored by the Motion Picture Association. Lat received a Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel worth US$995.
