Ticket2Me Premieres New BL Series 'Boys' Lockdown' this October

The growing fan base of Pinoy Boys' Love (BL) stories will soon be swooning to another heart-warming tale of friendship, self-discovery, and love with the premiere of Boys' Lockdown, a new online series top-billed by showbiz newcomer Ali King and indie actor Alec Kevin.


Boys' Lockdown will be streamed on the Ticket2Me video platform beginning October 15 and will be available on the Ticket2Me YouTube channel by October 18.


The new BL series follows the story of Key Kalunsod (Ali King) and Chen Chavez (Alec Kevin) as they cope with the current pandemic and discover how love can change their view of the world.


Boys' Lockdown is created by a powerhouse team featuring some of the most lauded creatives in Philippine entertainment. It is directed by the award-winning Filipino director, scriptwriter, and producer Jade Castro, who is best known for his works My Big Love, Zombadings, and Endo, which won the Jury Prize at the 3rd Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the 2007 Gawad Urian.


The new online series is a brainchild of writer and novelist Danice Mae P. Sison, a BL-fanatic who has worked with Philippine media giants ABS-CBN and GMA Networks as well as international media organizations Nickelodeon Asia, Hallmark Channel, and DIVA Universal Channel.


The show’s director of photography, Tey Clamor, is a multi-awarded cinematographer whose works include Pan de Salawal, Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifiand Ex with Benefits. She was awarded with the Best Cinematography for Ned's Project at the 2016 CineFilipino Film Festival and for Metamorphosis at the 2019 Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival. Production designer and art director Popo Diaz is known for Mamu: And a Mother Too, Respeto, 1st ko si 3rdand Dementia, which won him the 2015 Gawad Urian Award for Best Production Design. On the other hand, assistant director Xeph Suarez is a Manila-based Mindanaoan filmmaker who has directed short films such as Si Astri maka si Tambulah, which earned him the Best Director award and a Jury Citation for Best Film at the 2018 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. He also produced Hondo, the 2016 QCinema International Film Festival's Best Short Film.

Completing the Boys' Lockdown cast are Crystal Paras, Kaloy Tingcungco, Ivoy Colo, Teetin Villanueva, and Luis Padilla. TikTok sensation Macoy Pubs will also have a cameo in one of the episodes.


Ticket2Me released the Boys' Lockdown official trailer on its YouTube channel on October 1.
