Bea's favorite companion in capturing her precious travel memories - her Fujifilm mirrorless camera |
What's keeping BeaAlonzo busy these days? Well, she does have an upcoming teleserye on ABS-CBN,
"A Love to Last", where she will once again be proving her acting
mettle, this time alongside Ian Veneracion, Iza Calzado, Tirso Cruz III,
Enchong Dee, Julia Barreto, Khalil Ramos, Vin Abrenica, Ronnie Almonte, and
Irma Adlawan.
But aside from her
on-cam projects, Bea still finds time to pursue her other passion, behind the
lens. No, she is not delving into any directorial job just yet, but she does
love to get behind the camera particularly when she is shooting pictures.
In fact, her love
for photography has made her a perfect brand ambassador for Fujifilm. As
someone who values having a reliable camera in capturing memories, Bea is quick
to comment that "a camera phone is not enough." Thus, she makes sure
she has her Fujifilm mirrorless cameras with her especially when she goes on
her solo travel escapades.
Recently, Bea has
grown to love Fujifilm's instax cameras and is learning to appreciate
scrapbooking as a hobby. "I have started hanging the instax prints on the
walls of my room, the rest I keep in a box for future scrapbooking use,"
she shares.
What delighted Bea
more was when Fujifilm launched its Photo Diary, and she was very hands-on in
demonstrating how she could easily gather her favorite photos and create a
printed album in a few minutes. Developed through Fujifilm's Image Organizing
Technology, the Photo Diary makes it possible for anyone to have their own
coffeetable-style book instead of the traditional photo album in preserving
and sharing their favorite photo collections with friends and family.
Now that Christmas
is just around the corner, Bea is also busy with her Christmas gift list. She
does have some pretty amazing gift ideas that make use of her love for
photography and all the convenient ways to print pictures these days.
Here are some of
Bea's do-it-yourself or DIY Christmas gift ideas:
Make a calendar. Use your instax to take snaps of
whatever catches your fancy or moments that are fleeting. You can also print
them using the instax Share SP-2 printer. The Share SP-2 lets you edit your
photos first before you print them. The next thing to do is to attach the
instax prints to a store-bought calendar.
Mark it with a bookmark. Books
don’t grow old. They function not only as a physical copy of stories with
characters, lines, and moments that we carry with us as we go through our
lives. If the person you’re thinking of giving a present to is a big Paulo Coelho fan like Bea, why not
take a photo of a river (one of the Portuguese writer’s books is entitled “By
the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept”) with your instax and embellish it with
the print?
Create a wine tasting journal with
instax photos. Wines are never missing at Christmas parties. Start
by choosing well-loved wines. Take photos of bottles, labels, etc. with your
instax. Attach the photos to pages in a notebook, and write down flavors,
aromas, vintage and regions.
Delight with a hanging mobile with
instax photos. Liven up the room of a gift recipient with a hanging
mobile decorated with instax photos. Add text and embellishments on the photos
as you wish, and then clip or tape the photos to strings. Tie the strings to
the sticks and hang the completed mobile from the ceiling.
